How to check if my domain is banned or not on Reddit?

The fastest way to check if a domain is banned is using Reddit Chat.

Steps

1. Open Reddit Chat

2. Start a chat with anyone

3. Paste your domain (e.g. example.com)

4. Try to send the message

Results

• If banned: Message fails with a “banned URL” error

• If not banned: Message sends normally

Delete the message after testing.

Notes

• This checks global Reddit bans, not subreddit rules

• Mods can still remove links even if the domain isn’t banned

Solution

The solution is to buy another domain. Ideally the same domain with another TLD. If your banned domain was:
