Smart Upvoting is Engain’s battle-tested ranking system designed to push your comment to the top position of a Reddit thread safely and naturally.

Unlike aggressive boosting, Smart Upvoting mimics real user behavior so your comment gains visibility without triggering moderator or spam detection.

How Smart Upvoting Works

When enabled, Engain automatically:

  1. Waits before starting

    • Upvotes begin 3 days after your comment is posted

    • This delay allows the thread to stabilize and pass moderation

  2. Adds upvotes gradually

    • Default behavior is 2 upvotes per day

    • Upvotes are placed at random intervals

    • This mirrors organic user behavior

  3. Stops once your comment reaches the top

    • Engain tracks the current top comment

    • Once your comment surpasses it, boosting stops automatically

Smart Ranking Logic

Engain analyzes the thread in real time and shows you:

  • How many upvotes the top comment currently has

  • How many upvotes your comment needs to outrank it

  • The estimated time to reach #1 based on your settings

This allows you to control ranking without overdoing it.

Customizable Boosting Settings

You can fully control how aggressive or passive the ranking is:
