Why do my comments keep getting removed by moderators?

This is the single biggest challenge in Reddit marketing, and it's important to understand how it works.

Reddit subreddits are managed by real human moderators (and sometimes automated filters). Getting comments to stay up, especially on older posts, can be difficult. Some subreddits have strict moderation, some have automod rules that flag certain types of content, and some moderators are simply more active than others.

This is completely normal. In Reddit marketing, it's expected that some comments will get removed. It doesn't mean something is broken. It means you're going against the only real current that exists in this game: moderation.

Here's the key: don't lose hope when a comment gets removed.

Engain was built to make resubmitting comments as easy as possible. When a comment is removed, you'll see a "Mod Removed" or “Automod Removed” status in your dashboard. From there, resubmitting takes just a few clicks:

Step 1: Click the rebuild/resubmit button on the removed task.

Step 2: Use the Dice button to rephrase the message. This keeps the same point and intent of your original comment but makes it sound completely new.

Step 3: Important: Always edit the rephrased message manually before submitting. The AI-generated rephrase will likely sound too polished or robotic. Add your own human touch to make it sound natural.

Step 4: Submit again.

You can repeat this process as many times as needed until the comment sticks.

Timing matters. When resubmitting, don't publish the comment again the moment it was removed. Spread your attempts out. The general rule of thumb is to wait at least a few days between submissions of the same comment. This keeps things natural and reduces the chance of triggering moderation patterns.

Real example: We've had instances where a comment was submitted more than 10 times before it finally stuck. That comment is now live on a high-traffic thread and brings in thousands of dollars in revenue every single month. The persistence paid off.

Think about it this way: if a Reddit post gets 10,000 visitors every month and it takes you 10 attempts to get your comment to stay up, that's still an incredible return. Even if it takes 20 or 30 attempts, the lifetime value of that comment far outweighs the effort of clicking a few buttons.

TLDR: Reddit marketing is not easy. Moderators are the one real obstacle. But Engain makes it as simple as possible to keep trying until your comment sticks. This is the closest you will ever get to getting maximum results from Reddit marketing without having to manage accounts, proxies, and bans yourself. Stay persistent, spread your attempts out, and the results will come.
