What's New In Engain (14th of October 2026)

🚀 New Features

  • Comment Generation API: You can now generate a comment for a Reddit post through the API with POST /api/v1/generate/comment. Send the project and the post, plus an optional length and custom instructions.

  • Unverified Link Warning: If we can't load the Reddit post you're commenting on, the task form shows a warning and asks you to confirm before creating the task.

✨ Improvements

  • Faster Rule Checks: Rule checks on subreddits we haven't seen before no longer hold up the review step.

  • Same-Account Warning: The thread builder now warns when an account would reply to its own comment in either direction. The review step lists every reply that uses the same account as the comment above it.

  • Upvote Orders: Upvote orders are only blocked when Reddit confirms the post is deleted or removed.

  • Cleaner Task Forms: All Sandbox tabs and the side panels use the same card layout and improved design.

  • Upvote Speed Limits: Switching the delivery speed unit now caps the value at that unit's maximum.

  • Task Source Icons: Track Tasks shows the same icons as the sidebar for tasks created from SEO Opportunities, Mentions and Smart Search.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Smart Search Results: If you leave Smart Search while a search is running, the results now show when you come back.

  • Rank My Comment in Smart Search: It can't be turned on until a comment is written or generated.

  • Reply Delay: Switching a reply delay from minutes to hours now works on the first click.

  • Link to Thread Tooltip: The tooltip no longer pops up again after you come back from the thread.

  • Markdown Previews: Reddit superscript and list bullets and numbers now show correctly in previews.
